SPEAKER_00:

The podcast where faith-driven women in business come to get unmuted, make bold moves, and build lives in businesses that reflect their God-given calling. I'm your host, Pammy Maynard, your visibility coach, Christine Christ, and CEO Bestie. And today, we're going to call out one of the sneakiest traps that holds powerful women like you hostage. The idea that you have to wait for the perfect time to start. I want you to settle in on this, sis. This isn't just another motivational episode. This is a breakthrough conversation that could change the entire trajectory of your business, of your faith walk, and honestly, your life. Have you ever told yourself, I'll launch my offer when I feel more confident? I'll go live once I have the right equipment. I'll share my story when it's not so messy. I'll go all in when the timing feels right. Sound familiar, sis? I know you because I am you and I've been there. Let's have a real conversation about how perfectionism, procrastination, and waiting on the perfect time will rob you of your breakthrough if you let it. We live in a culture that loves the highlight reel. We see women launching, selling out, showing up, looking perfect, glamorous and all. And it feels like they have it all together. And they're doing something or know something we don't. Like maybe they have some secret sauce that you're missing. But here's the truth there is no such thing as the perfect time. There's only right now. Let me tell you something I wish someone told me years ago. Perfectionism is just fear in high heels. Yeah, girl. It's just fear wearing makeup, fancy clothes, pastilettes. It convinces you that someday is safer than today. But the only thing guaranteed is right now. This breath, this season, this little corner of the internet where God has placed you. That's what's guaranteed. Let me take you back for a minute. I remember when I started sharing my story, I had every excuse in the book you can even imagine. I ain't got time to sit down and plan out. I don't have the right background. What are people gonna say? What will people think of me? Who am I to talk about business, faith, or anything at all? Who am I to be a coach? I had babies at home, dishes in the sink, God in my heart, and a tiny following. I tried recording videos and never post them. I had drafts saved up and never hit published. The truth is the enemy will use whatever he can, fear, overwhelm, comparison, just to keep you silent. Because your voice is a threat. But one day I said, enough is enough. I hit post, I recorded a video. I just recorded a low-quality video that I had on my heart. No filters, no script. Just honesty. And do you know what happened? The very thing I thought would make people run, my mess was what drew people in. My inbox, the plane flooded with women saying, thank you for saying what I was afraid to say. I had many people following me. I had many people sending me requests to be friends, people requesting that I be on their podcast, that I be in their magazine. Just because I was authentic, God uses our obedience, not our perfection. That was the main realization I came to. Let's talk about ready. Can I tell you something? Girl, you will never be 100% ready. And that's just the God honest truth. Not for your first life, not for your lunch, not for your next level, not for your first product. You will always feel that nudge. What if I fail? What if I'm judged? What if I'm not giving up? What if I don't fail? What if people don't like me? What if people talk about me? What if people unfollow me? But what if I asked you a better question? What if my yes is the key to someone else's breakthrough? What if starting right here, right now, is the most powerful thing I could do for myself and my family? The enemy's biggest fear is a woman who moves, even when she's shaking. Let's get into the faith piece. Because you know, I can't do this without bringing the word. If you wait for perfect conditions, you'll never get anything done. Now that's an ecclesiastic. Listen, sis, if God called you, he will equip you as you move. It's like that story in the Bible where the priest had to step into the water before it parted. The miracle didn't happen while they were waiting on the shore. It happened while they were moving, stepping out, getting their feet wet. Your business, your breakthrough. It's on the other side of a messy, imperfect yes. I want to get super practical. You don't need a fancy camera. You don't need a studio. You don't need a perfect story. You don't even need to know how it'll all work out. You need to start. That's it. Here are five things you can do today to start. One, go live just as you are, imperfectly. Go live on Instagram or Facebook. Even LinkedIn. Even if your kids are in the background or you're nervous, share one thing that's on your heart. Number two, post your story. Tell the truth about where you are. Someone needs to see your real, not your polish. Number three, invite community. DM one woman you admire. Ask her to collab with you. Connect or just chat. Number four, drop your offer. Even if it's not branded, the people assigned to you will be grateful you did. And lastly, number five, celebrate your win. Journal, pray, and thank God for every yes, no matter how tiny. When I started my membership, girl, I was terrified. I'm not gonna lie. I was shaken. I didn't have it all together. I'm not tech smart. I didn't know every single piece of equipment I needed. I didn't know every step I needed to take. I didn't have a huge list. But I had a heart to serve, and I started with what I had. That small start, it's now a sisterhood impact of women all over the world, all over the globe. None of that would have happened if I waited for perfection. Here's what I learned, sis. When you move, God moves. When you sow, God multiplies. When you show up, even awkwardly, you give others permission to do the same. Consistency is more powerful than intensity. Faithful tiny steps open big doors. Use an answer to someone's prayer, and your obedience could change a generation. Your small isn't small to God. Your start is sacred. Let's take a moment. Where have you been paralyzed by Sunday or when I'm ready? What have you been waiting to start? What is God nudging you to do that feels a little scary, a little messy, a little not enough? I want you to picture yourself in the future. Will she thank you for waiting? Or for being brave enough to begin? Don't it almost be your legacy? Your family, your business, your community, they need your yes. Here's what I want you to do. Pick one thing you've been putting out because it wasn't perfect yet. And do it this week, sis. Once you do it, I want you to tag me at Tammy Mainon underscore official. Use hashtag be unmuted so I can celebrate you and share you with all my family. If you allow me to, I want us to pray. Dear God, I pray for every single woman listening today. Give her your courage to move. To start, to say yes, even when it's messy. Remind her that she's never alone. That you multiply every bold step within her. Help her to see that her imperfect yes is all you need to do the impossible. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
